Aglaonema 'Red Veins'
An Aglaonema 'Red Vein,' or Chinese Evergreen, is a popular, easy-care houseplant known for its deep green, glossy leaves with striking, bright red veins, adding vibrant color to indoor spaces. It thrives in bright, indirect light but tolerates lower light, making it great for beginners, and requires watering only when the top soil is dry, while also benefiting from warmth and moderate humidity.
Basic Care
Aglaonema Red Emerald plants will survive in low light but will become thin and leggy. For a nice looking plant, try to provide bright, diffused natural light or some artificial fluorescent light.
I keep mine near a fluorescent light.
Water every 7-9 days in the warmer months & every 2-3 weeks in the winter. The watering schedule will vary for you depending on your home environment. I let my Emerald almost dry completely before watering.
