Scindapsus Bathala
The Scindapsus Bathala is a rare, variegated cultivar of Scindapsus pictus native to the Philippines. Named after the supreme god in Tagalog mythology, it is prized by houseplant collectors for its large, dark green leaves adorned with striking, irregular splashes of ivory-white, butter-yellow, and mint-green variegation. Unlike standard silvery Scindapsus varieties, the Bathala features creamy white to yellow sectoral streaks and marbled patterns.
Basic Care
Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight to maintain its vivid variegation, but direct sun should be avoided to prevent leaf scorch.
Requires a well-draining, chunky aroid soil mix. Water thoroughly only when the top couple of inches of soil are dry to the touch, and look for curling leaves as a sign the plant is thirsty.
