Monstera Adansonii
Monstera Adansonii is also commonly known as a Swiss Cheese Vine, named this way for the holes in its leaves, called fenestrations. It is a fast growing plant that loves to climb up a pole or trail down elegantly from up high. This is a great plant to have if you want the drama of a Monstera Deliciosa but don't have the room for a giant statement plant.
As its name would suggest, Monstera Adansonii round form has slightly larger and rounder leaves than its cousin, Monstera Adansonii narrow form.
Basic Care
Swiss cheese plants do best in a shaded environment, much like the shade they receive in the wild from upper canopy trees. Monstera Adansonii leaves can burn if exposed to excessive direct sunlight. The best placement for your houseplant is in a well-lit room with bright indirect light. If you can’t avoid direct sun, make sure to limit the exposure to a maximum of two to three hours of morning sun per day.
Water the Swiss cheese plants once or twice per week during the summer and less in the winter. Keep the soil moist, not soggy.
