Ananas Comosus "Pineapple" Plant
The Pineapple plant is considered an herbaceous, tropical, and monocot perennial plant. Its leaves are spiral in arrangement and on the terminal ends has flowers, which then produce the edible fruit. Depending on environment, this plant can grow up to 36 inches tall.
Basic Care
Indoors, the Pineapple plants love bright, direct sunlight and will do best in a south-facing window in your home. It loves warm, sunny conditions. The Pinapple plant can also be grown outdoors.
The plant is able to absorb some water through its leaves and do not need a lot of water. Wait until the soil has completely dried out before watering and water both the leaves and the soil. The pineapple plant is more likely to be badly affected by overwatering than underwatering. Personally, I water my plant in the center where the pineapple is (right beneath the pineapple), and spray the leaves with water almost every day.
