Maranta Leuconeura Var. Kerchoveana 'Variegata'
Maranta leuconeura var. kerchoveana 'Variegata' is a special variegated cultivar of the green Rabbit Tracks. In the wild this plant spreads out as a groundcover, but in a home environment the plant looks great in a hanging basket or growing where it has room to cascade from its pot. This plant's leaves are known to move and react to light, and they'll fold up at night when it's dark. We love this variegated form of the plant because each leaf is different from the last, splattered with unique speckles and splashes of creamy white.
Basic Care
These plants prefer bright indirect light and can survive shady conditions. They also do well when grown under fluorescent lighting.
Keep the plant moist at all times but avoid soggy soil. Empty the drainage saucer after watering to avoid root rot and use lukewarm water. Avoid hard water or tap water containing fluoride.
Growing Kerchoveana indoors is often too dry of an environment for this tropical species. To increase humidity, place the planter on a tray of wet pebbles or mist frequently.
What you get
A healthy, rooted plant growing in a 4" nursery pot.
